Gargling noise in sink when toilet flushes

Postby aloe281 » Sun Jan 03, 2010 8:39 pm

Hi,

I am new to this forum. Hope someone can help. I purchased a house about 2 years ago. Just a few weeks ago, my second floor bathroom sink started to make a gurgling sound when the toilet in that bathroom is flushed. Does anybody know what this could be? Is it an easy fix, or do i need a plumber?

Thanks,

Jordan

Hi Jordan,

Well i was also stuck up with these issues. Generally Gurgling noises in drains or sinks usually comes when the air being trapped in front of the body of water moving down the pipe, if the pressure builds up the air forces its way past the water, gurgling as it goes. contact the local plumber who will be experienced with the above issues.

You have a partially clogged drain system that needs to be cleared of the obstruction. I would recommend a plumber or drain cleaner to address this issue.
